Get to know the mastermind behind it all! Dr. Levi's remarkable journey began in eastern Kentucky. At 18, he encountered a significant hurdle when he came out to his ultra-religious family, leading to a period of uncertainty where he lost everything. Wrestling with questions of identity, and navigating through issues of sexuality, religion, family, and beyond, Levi's life took a new turn. Enter Harry Potter, Levi's symbol of hope and strength. This magical character helped him face his fears, stand tall, and embrace his story. As a child, Levi imagined using a wand to solve all his problems. However, as an adult, he discovered that the true magic resided within him all along. Levi realized he had the ability to carve his own path, shape his destiny, and motivate countless others. Thus, the lightning bolt transformed into his personal symbol, embodying the essence of Jolted Cup's brand!

Why opt for a mobile coffee venture? In our quest for the perfect bean, the ultimate brewing method, and a robust support system, we faced one major hurdle - finding the ideal location. Our dream is to nurture a loyal community of Jolted Cup aficionados, which would then pave the way to our brick and mortar locations. During this journey, it became crystal clear that we were ready to hit the ground running, but location was a stumbling block. And just like that, the universe guided us towards a mobile coffee enterprise. As soon as we discovered the right builder, electricity began to buzz! After a year of dreaming and months of meticulous planning, our vision materialized. Welcome to Jolted Cup Coffee!
THE "JOLT" BLEND
When Levi was planning and dreaming, he made it a point to find a roaster with a belief system that supports people from all walks of life. During the "shopping" phase for a roaster, Levi met many options and settled on a husband-and-wife team local to Lexington, Kentucky. Their vision matched perfectly with his! So, how did we come up with the Jolted Blend? Easy! After extensive research and a lot of questions, we found a Costa Rican company that is fully woman-owned and mixed their beans with a medium-dark Brazilian roast. The Jolted Blend is full-bodied and has notes of chocolate. It is so versatile that it can be used to make a great cold brew, espresso, pour-over, and drip coffee!
